Omg its Mary doodles! I didnt know you were still making content. Ive been watching you since i was in middle school and your content is what got me into watercolors. Your style is different from other people with its wacky and whinsical ways of being. Im happy that you are still the same in those wonderful way. -From someone who has remembered you since the fugly unicorn video.
Background sound, for people like us anyway, is part of a balanced breakfast.
Just barely starting the witch & I'm really loving the style! Also, speaking of ukuleles, in Madison there's a ukulele group called MAUI (for Madison Area Ukulele Initiative). Madison's a wonderfully weird lil town. And yes, I missed live again, so I'm after-the-fact live commenting.

You mentioned going back and watching old YT videos.... yeah, in the midst of writing my next book, which is a look back at 25 years of being a storyteller.... so much nostalgia. And it's weird. So much good.... honestly, it's all wonderful and good, but also weird to try to have to pull myself out from living in the past too much. I'm so excited to get to the Voices from the Chicago Grave, then Hawaii chapters of my life though! I am devastated to see just now that the Archer House hotel is gone!!! Serious hurts my heart seeing those photos.

I'm an art teacher in New York and have been showing your videos to my students for years... my favorite being the time traveler one. This is so awesome that you're still going - this means there must be so much for me to catch up, lol.

Please know I only ask because I am trying to learn.....have you done the statistical analysis to know that you have a very young viewing audience? Just trying to understand you new style. Be well. Thanks for watching and for being curious. UA-cam provides data on the audience's age range. I'm not sure what you mean by "very young". Do you feel my style is catering to a younger crowd lately? Feedback is greatly appreciated, as I'm creating this from a void of darkness.

What a helpful video! Thank you for all the great information. I am brand new at this. When I color, I get bleeding along the black line and feathering beyond it. I’m using memento black ink which is supposed to be good for alcohol markers. I’ve used Bristol smooth paper or Ninah’s 100 pound. What am I doing wrong? Thanks so much!
Happy it's helpful! That's a great question! I'll definitely have to do a video on this and experiment, because I've hit this issue as well. Personally, when I use india ink it seems to create enough of a bleed barrier. You could also try switcing up your paper to something that is specifically designed for markers. Anybody got any thoughts?

What do you do if the sketch book you have has a large printed logo on it
I'll sticker over it (if it's a surface that takes stickers) or put down heavy acrylic paint. You could also use tape to make some cool designs (washi, gaff, drafting tape...)
